The Catherine Series is the world’s first AI-driven cinematic series, a haunting psychological thriller that blurs the lines between justice, artificial intelligence, and the supernatural. Inspired by real people and past performances, it centers on Audrey — based on actress Audrey Hollander — a woman serving a life sentence for the murder of her abusive husband. Within the confines of a women’s correctional facility, the boundaries of reality begin to dissolve, revealing something far more complex and otherworldly than guilt or innocence.

Elizabeth Hart, portrayed by Jordan Bennett, is a journalist and social media influencer haunted by visions she can’t explain. Dr. Maxwell, modeled after Todd Carey, begins to question the boundaries of psychology and belief, while Father McKenzie — based on Colin Rowntree — clings to a fractured faith as darkness grows.

At the center of it all is Ethan Kane, the father of modern AI, a quantum physicist, whose presence may be more sentient and more dangerous than anyone realizes. And always lingering in the shadows is Catherine — the force Audrey once claimed guided her hand — returning from the original film and still played in spirit by Audrey Hollander.

As an ancient intelligence known only as The Others awakens, The Catherine Series asks what happens when guilt, faith, and technology converge — and who we become when something else begins to take hold.

Michael Ninn
Creator of the Catherine Series

I’ve been quiet lately — not lost, just working… listening. As many of you know, Catherine was a film I released in 2005. It was personal, it was bold, and it marked a moment in my life I’ll never forget. Now, twenty years later, I find myself returning to her.

Not to relive the past, but to reimagine it. This new project isn’t nostalgia. It’s evolution. I’ve been exploring what AI can mean to a filmmaker — not as a shortcut, but as a canvas, as a partner, as something strangely… alive.
